Your liver makes it because your brain needs it, you need it for cell repair, immune health, hormone production (think testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, etc.)

I eat  LOTS of good fats daily including coconut oil, coconut milk, avocados, olives and olive oil, chia and flax seeds, raw seeds and nuts, organic grass fed animal protein.

I think one of the reasons that Alzheimers disease is increasing at alarming rates is that so many people are on statins, which drop the cholesterol to levels that are unhealthy for the brain and decrease hormone levels.
