Detox Diet – Sample Day of Eating

Eating healthy is not as difficult and time consuming (or flavorless) as it may seem. Here’s a sample day of healthy eating that will help your body to detoxify and help you to feel great. You can make this a part of a 14 Day Detox if you want to feel energized and healthy.

Breakfast

Glass of warm water with juice from ¼ lemon

1 cup of green tea or matte

Smoothie

  • 1 cup frozen berries
  • 1 handful of kale
  • ¼ avocado
  • 1 cup of 100% juice (I like tart cherry)
  • 1 scoop ClearVite or protein powder
  • Blend until smooth

Snack

½ cup of raw nuts (almonds, macadamia nuts, cashews or pistachios)

Carrot & celery sticks

Lunch

Large green salad with any vegetables that you like, grilled chicken or garbanzo beans (or both) topped with olive oil and balsamic vinegar

Snack

Brown rice cake with almond butter

Apple

Dinner

Baked salmon

  • Rub olive oil on all sides of salmon and sprinkle with salt and pepper
  • Place salmon skin side down on a sheet pan and put in 400 degree oven
  • Cook salmon for 10-15 minutes, depending on thickness of fillet
  • Salmon is cooked when the inside is the same pink color as the outside

Roasted asparagus (put the asparagus in the oven first)

  • Wash asparagus & trim bottoms
  • Place on a baking tray in single layer
  • Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper and use hands to cover the vegetables with the oil, salt, and pepper
  • Back at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the thickness of the asparagus

½ cup cooked brown rice or quinoa

It’s that easy. Drink water throughout the day to help your body functioning well. You can eat that way every day and feel satisfied and healthy. Switch the protein and vegetable choices and you can have different variations for weeks and years.
